Your journey begins with a pickup from Puerto Maldonado airport, followed by a transfer to a lodge nestled on the banks of the scenic Tambopata River. After settling into your accommodation, take some time to relax and soak in the tranquility of your surroundings.

In the afternoon, your adventure kicks off with a guided hike through dense forest trails. Marvel at giant trees stretching towards the sky and learn about medicinal plants used by local communities for centuries. The highlight of this trek is reaching a mammal salt lick, a natural mineral deposit that attracts peccaries, deer, tapirs, and other mammals.

As dusk falls, embark on an intriguing night walk armed with flashlights. The darkness comes alive with night monkeys, insects, lizards, spiders (including tarantulas), frogs, snakes, and other nocturnal creatures. Return to the lodge for a delicious dinner under a starry sky before retreating to your cozy room adjacent to the Tambopata Reserve.
